Hi, I’m Adrienne

Recovering perfectionist, designing with curiosity and empathy.

I’m Adrienne de Amicis (day-ah-me-cheese).

For the past 3.5 years, I’ve been a B2B SaaS Product Designer at Velocity Global, shaping the workforce platform that enables companies to hire and manage talent in 185+ countries. As the lead designer for the customer sign-up and employee hiring features, I’ve worked to create seamless, user-friendly experiences that make complex processes feel effortless.

I believe in using design for good—technology should serve people, not the other way around. My background spans development, digital marketing, and content management, giving me a unique perspective on different users and making me a strong collaborator with developers.

Now, I’m eager to transition into a B2C role with a strong focus on mobile design.

Outside of work, you’ll find me exploring the backcountry on a backpacking trip, rock climbing, knitting my next project, or diving into a new design course to expand my skills.

Technical Projects 👩‍💻

My curiosity led me to dabble in coding, which eventually led me to complete Flatiron’s Software Engineering program in 2019. This experience gave me valuable insight into how products are built and deepened my respect for engineers. It also shaped me as a designer—I understand technical constraints, collaborate more effectively with developers, and design with feasibility in mind. But my true passion lies in design and crafting experiences that bridge the gap between technology and people.

Recent Adventures 🥾

I love getting out of my comfort zone and enjoying some good type 2 fun. Recent trips have included the J Section of the PCT in Washington (75+ miles) and the Alta Via 4 hut-to-hut hike in the Dolomites, Italy (50+ miles). Next up, I hope to hike the 211-mile John Muir Trail (JMT) in California!

Recent Creations 🧶

I learned to knit in the 4th grade, and it’s stuck with me ever since! Knitting requires massive patience and some counting, but it’s also very meditative. It’s only taken 23 years for me to finally start blocking my knits, and I admit I was wrong for skipping it all these years 😆
